Very nice paper describing formation of Ibrutinib-Ketoconazole cocrystals to enhance solubility and oral bioavailability. Hot melt extrusion was used to prepare the cocrystals. Ibrutinib is interesting to study because it has very low oral bioavailability due to activity of the CYP3A4 enzyme. These cocrystals exhibited increased cytotoxic activity in K562-CCL-243 cancer cell lines compared to either drug alone.
