I saw this on my local craigslist and had to share. I have no connection to the ad but the builder is my kind of guy.

There are many photos in the ad.

Truly the best of both worlds. If I was 20 years younger and twice as smart I might go after that one.
Thanks for the look.
Rich

Very cool. The hard part will be to put together the boiler and all the controls and stuff it under the Model T hood.

I wonder if a T with a crappy old radiator could make enough steam to run it, I also wonder what they use for brakes since the tranny is no longer used? Jim

No chassis. No springs. Pretty neat otherwise. Model T with a loud steam whistle - heavenly.

Been kind of expecting to see David Dewey "chime in" here as he is very knowledgeable about steam, and I believe he has a steam engine about this size,....???

The car will need to have good brakes installed, perhaps rocky Mountain or other. The Steam engine doesn't have any slowing down ability as does a gasoline engine using compression. Long downhill descents can be a real problem for steamers with their standard brakes.
I remember a steam tour where the participants thought they might need a modern vehicle with a tow strap behind them to descend Galena Summit in Idaho.
When did I do that?
